Boyzone’s Keith Duffy pays tribute after Ronan Keating’s brother Ciaran dies in automotive crash | Ents & Arts Information

Boyzone star Keith Duffy has paid tribute to the late brother of Ronan Keating.

Ciaran Keating, who was in his 50s, died in a car crash in County Mayo, within the west of Eire, on the weekend.

It’s understood his spouse was injured within the collision, which reportedly occurred as they had been travelling to observe their son Ruairí play soccer for his membership, Cork Metropolis.

Ronan Keating, who now presents The One Present, has “dropped every little thing” to help his household, in line with a supply quoted by The Solar newspaper.

After Ciaran Keating’s demise was confirmed by Cork Metropolis on social media, Duffy shared a tribute alongside a picture of a candle on Instagram, saying he couldn’t “comprehend the loss” nor the devastation his former bandmate and the household had been feeling.

“All my household are praying and pondering of our Keating household proper now,” Duffy wrote, including that Ciaran had “toured with us” and was a “nice information on our journey within the early days”.

He continued: “You helped and supported us younger harmless youngsters. Take your house in heaven buddy together with your Mam Marie.”

Marie Keating was identified with breast most cancers in 1996, and died lower than 18 months later in February 1998 aged 51.

Her household – together with Ronan, Ciaran, daughter Linda and two different sons, Gerard and Gary – arrange the Marie Keating Basis in her reminiscence.

A supply quoted by The Solar stated Ronan, 46, had been left “devastated” by the information of his brother’s demise.

The 2-vehicle accident occurred in Ballymiles, close to Swinford, at about 3.35pm on Saturday.

The male driver of the second automobile was taken to Mayo College Hospital to obtain therapy for severe accidents, a Garda spokesperson stated.
