Tragic accident in Barnisław near Police (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). An 18-year-old driver of a passenger car collided head-on with a combine harvester. The force of the impact was so great that the car ended up under the agricultural machine. It has already been recovered.
The incident occurred before 11 a.m. between the towns of Barnisław and Smolęcin. The services were informed about a collision between a passenger car and a combine harvester.
He tried to rebound, but was unable to avoid a head-on collision.
– According to the report of the person driving the combine harvester, the driver of the passenger car was driving at high speed. For now, we do not know why he drove into the opposite lane. The combine harvester driver tried to swerve a bit, but unfortunately he was unable to avoid the head-on collision – said Police spokeswoman Asp. Katarzyna Leśnicka after 1 p.m.

The district commander of the State Fire Service in Police, junior brigadier Piotr Maciejczyk, informed that a heavy technical rescue vehicle from Stargard Szczeciński arrived at the scene.
The spokeswoman for the Police in an interview with tvn24.pl said after 2 p.m. that firefighters had already pulled the car out from under the combine. – One person was pulled out from inside, an 18-year-old man. Unfortunately, he died at the scene – added Asp. Katarzyna Leśnicka.
Police activities under the supervision of the prosecutor are still ongoing at the scene of the accident and could take several hours.
