Prime Minister Donald Tusk has signed orders extending the BRAVO and BRAVO-CRP alert levels until November 30, the Government Security Centre announced on Saturday.
The signed orders concern the extension of the alert levels: level 2 BRAVO and level 2 BRAVO-CRP throughout the country and level 2 BRAVO for Polish energy infrastructure located outside the borders of the Republic of Poland.
“Alert levels are primarily a signal for the services to be ready for action,” RCB reminded.
Terrorist threat. Alert levels
BRAVO-CRP is the second of four alert levels specified in the Anti-Terrorist Act. This means that public administration is obliged to conduct increased monitoring of the security status of teleinformatic systems. This includes 24-hour duty of key system administrators.
In turn, the BRAVO alert level (second on a four-point scale) is introduced in the event of an increased and foreseeable threat of a terrorist event. This means that the services have information about a potential threat, and in connection with this, the public administration is obliged to maintain special vigilance. It also concerns a review of supplies and the possibilities of their use in the event of a terrorist event.
