At least 12 people died Sunday when a small plane crashed near Rio Branco airport, the capital of Acre state in western Brazil, state authorities said.
A Cessna Caravan aircraft, operated by local company ART Taxi Aereo, crashed shortly after take-off, killing all on board – 10 passengers and two pilots.
The child is dead
A child was among the victims, the Acre state government said in a statement. As added, the causes of the disaster are being investigated. The plane was headed to the city of Envira in the state of Amazonas.
