Seven people, including five members of one family, died in an accident on Tuesday morning after taking off from Sao Paulo airport in southeastern Brazil, firefighters said. The plane crash happened 15 seconds after take-off. The light aircraft was flying to the state of Parana in the north of the country. It is not known yet what caused the disaster.
A Brazilian businessman was killed in a plane crash
Businessman Celso Silveira Mello Filho, brother of the boss of Cosan, one of Brazil’s largest sugar and bioethanol companies, died in the crash, the company said in a press release.
“Celso Silveira Melo Filho, who was a shareholder in the group, was, along with his wife, three children, a pilot and a co-pilot, on board the machine that crashed that morning,” it confirmed.
