A person accused of killing a younger basketball coach and injuring an aged lady in separate “unprovoked” knife assaults has appeared on the {Old} Bailey.

Norris Henry, 37, is charged with murdering Ali Abucar Ali, 20, and the tried homicide of 82-year-old Elizabeth Walsh in Brentford, west London, on 12 November.

Henry, who lives close to the scene of the assaults, allegedly used a 30cm knife – first stabbing Ms Walsh within the again after which Mr Ali within the chest earlier than working away.

Tributes have been paid to both victims, with Mr Ali described as a “hero” and “essentially the most caring, humble, funniest younger man”.

Ms Walsh is well-known in Brentford having labored as a barmaid within the space for a few years, with locals calling her a “pretty lady”.
