Information about Bardot’s health problems was confirmed by her husband, Bernard d’Ormale, in an interview with the French news agency Var-Matin. – It was approx. 9:00, when Birgitte started having trouble breathing. Her breathing was heavier than usual but she did not lose consciousness. He added that the firefighters who were called to the scene initially drove to the wrong address. Upon arriving at Bardot’s home, they gave her oxygen and watched the situation develop.
On Wednesday evening, D’Ormale told Var-Matin that his wife was recovering. He explained that Bardot had already been checked at the hospital. The examination showed a reduced level of red blood cells, but the small amount of oxygen given by firefighters was enough to improve her condition. “Like all people of a certain age, he does not tolerate heat well. At 88, it happens. She is not allowed to make efforts, – noted the husband of the actress. It’s really hot in the south of France right now. Temperatures are expected to rise to 36 degrees on Thursday.
