Brethren Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested on December 29, 2022 in Romania and they were taken into custody. Investigators accuse them of rape, human trafficking and the creation of an organized criminal group. Who is Andrew Tate

Andrew Tate gained notoriety for his misogynistic remarks and online hate speech. As a result, he was also removed from all major social media platforms, although after Elon Musk acquired Twitter last November, the account of the controversial influencer was restored.

The former professional kickboxer, who has US and British citizenship, has expressed the opinion that women are partly responsible for rapes and belong to men.

Last year, Tate admitted on a podcast that when he lived in London, he started making money by convincing many girls to video call and share the profits. He said he started with two girls, but later had 75 girls working for him, earning him $600,000 a month.

He also said he moved to Romania in connection with a British investigation into him on allegations of sexual assault. However, the charges in this case were eventually dropped.
