The President of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, is in Budapest on Friday, where he participates in a rally by Gergely Karacsony, the mayor of Budapest, one of the leaders of the Hungarian opposition. He said to the audience that “Poland is not Kaczynski, Hungary is not Orban”. – Kaczyński would very much like Budapest to be in Warsaw, so let’s do it together, let Budapest win – he addressed the audience.
During the rally in Budapest, Trzaskowski gave a short speech. – Jarosław Kaczyński prayed for many years that there would be Budapest in Poland, in Warsaw. He borrowed from Orban a guide on what to do – paralyze the Constitutional Court, attack judges, free, media, attack universities, indoctrinate schools, he is always looking for an enemy as Orban was looking for – he said.
Trzaskowski then said that “Orban and Kaczyński, both attack transatlantic relations, they both talk about the European Union worse and worse.” – Our ally is not Putin’s Russia or Erdogan’s Turkey, it is the European Union – he added.
– Kaczyński and Orban want to build an alliance with populists, and we have to say that we want a strong European Union, we will not allow polexit, we will not allow hungarexit, we will not allow people to leave the European Union, stressed Trzaskowski.
Trzaskowski: Poland is not Kaczyński, Hungary is not Orban
The Mayor of Warsaw pointed out that “national interest is primarily free and independent institutions, free courts, free media, free universities”. “National interest is a state that acts for the benefit of its citizens,” he continued.
– Poland is not Kaczyński, Hungary is not Orban, we are proud, independent people – he emphasized.
– Kaczyński would very much like Budapest to be in Warsaw, so let’s do it together, let Budapest win – he addressed the audience.
