Bulgaria’s parliament ratified an agreement to send military aid to Ukraine. The list of equipment to be sent there is classified. It is only known that there are small arms and ammunition on it.
The decision, ratified by parliament on Friday, was adopted on 3 November. It replaced the resolution of May, which refused such assistance.
The government was given several weeks to compile a list of equipment and ammunition to be handed over Ukraine. Defense Minister Dmitar Stoyanov has repeatedly assured that the list will not include MIG-29 and SU-25 aircraft and C-300 launchers, because Bulgaria she herself needs them to defend her borders. The list is classified, it is only known that it contains small arms and ammunition.
Bulgaria has also committed itself to participate in the European Union’s support mission for Ukraine, which is to increase the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian armed forces. The Ukrainian military will be trained in Bulgaria, among others, as paramedics.
