The sports channel maintains the number of subscribers at the level of one million people. He is fully focused on sports content after the departure of Krzysztof Stanski. Malicious said that the fall of KS would be quite fast, because these unsportsmanlike materials made the largest displays. But it regularly releases materials and gives programs to this day.
The big player enters the sports channel
The search for a new investor has been talked about for some time. There was a lot of talk about the interest from Canal+. But in autumn a foreign entity appeared, which was even more willing to take over the shares. Representatives of KS talked with Greek Theodor Kyriakou. He is a businessman and president of the board of Antenna Group, a media company founded by his father, Minos.
The Ant1 channel, which is one of the most important in the group, is one of the largest television stations in Greece. In October 2021, the group took over the Sony Pictures Media portfolio, i.e. 22 channels and two streaming platforms present in Central and Eastern European markets. In Poland, he is the owner of the rights to AXN channels.
According to “Onet Sports Przegląd” The sports channel reached a preliminary agreement with Greek. This is the result of several months of talks and they are close to finalization. “PS” reports that both parties are to sign a contract for the sale of Greek participation next week.

The plans of the new investor are ambitious because it is to enter television with a sports channel, which would be a revolution for the entire project. He wants to combine traditional television formats with modern internet formats. The sports channel is to appear on the TV channel list this fall and replace AXN Spin. For now, there is no question of closing the YouTube channel, and Mateusz Borek and Michał Pol are to have a specific number of performances in programs.
The sports channel did not deny these reports nor confirmed them. Sawicki answered “Przegląd” as follows: “We do not comment on any speculation in this matter and we focus only on the further development of our activity on the Internet.”
Currently, the shareholders of the sports channel are Mateusz Borek, Michał Pol, Tomasz Smokowski, Maciej Sawicki and Maciej Wandzel. The first three have been from the beginning of the channel. Wandzel redeemed the shares from Stanski. Sawicki entered after leaving PZPN, he is the president of the board.
