Two cars collided at the Jagiellonian roundabout in Bydgoszcz. As a result of the impact, the Peugeot ran into the underpass roofing. Fortunately, nothing serious happened to anyone. As the police established on the spot, the perpetrator of the collision was the Skoda driver who did not yield.
The incident took place on Tuesday at the Jagiellons roundabout in Bydgoszcz. The services received the notification before 9 o’clock – There was a passenger car crash between Peugeot and Skoda. One of these cars, as a result of the impact, was partially above the roof protecting the entrance to the underpass – says Capt. Karol Smarz from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bydgoszcz.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. As Smarz adds, there were only drivers in the cars and they got out of the vehicles on their own.
Police: Skoda driver did not yield
As she told us the subcommittee. Lidia Kowalska from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz, the perpetrator of the collision is the skoda driver.
– When entering the Jagiellonian roundabout, he did not give way to the Peugeot already located at the roundabout. As a result of the impact, the Peugeot driver was pushed and – wanting to jump back onto his lane – turned right, and then ran into the roof of the entrance to the underpass – says Kowalska.
The Skoda driver was fined PLN 500. The police also secured the registration certificates of both vehicles.
The entrance from the damaged side of the underpass is currently closed.
