About 140 people needed medical help, and three were transported to the hospital during an outdoor concert that took place on Saturday evening in Bydgoszcz (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship). The victims needed medical attention mainly after fainting.
The incident took place on Saturday (August 12) in Bydgoszcz during the concert of the rapper Bedoes, which was organized on the square in front of Torbyd. The area, according to the services, was fenced. According to police estimates, there may have been about two thousand people in the square, and a large crowd also gathered outside the barriers.
The concert began at 8 p.m., but according to the services, even before the concert, medical assistance was provided to people who complained about ailments caused by the crowd and heat. Many of the participants of the concerts in the square appeared a few hours before the performance of the Bydgoszcz rapper.
They set up a medical point
As the number of casualties began to increase, additional emergency medical teams from the ambulance service and firefighters from state and volunteer units were called to the scene.
Firefighters built a medical point on site with inflatable tents. – Our activities focused on securing and lighting the area, setting up tents and helping paramedics in the organization – Captain Karol Smarz, press officer of the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bydgoszcz, told us.
Firefighters from the Specialist Chemical and Ecological Rescue Group also participated in the activities, using special detectors to examine the air at the concert site and did not record any dangerous substances in it.

According to Captain Karol Smarz, a total of 140 people were helped, three were transported to the hospital.
Ten hosts of state and volunteer fire brigades were involved in the operation, a total of 39 firefighters. In addition, police officers, paramedics and WOPR rescuers who carried out activities on water and on land.
The authorities will investigate the matter
The case of fainting during the concert is being investigated by the police under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office. Verification activities are carried out in terms of Art. 160 of the Penal Code, which concerns exposure to danger.
