The incident occurred at the beginning of February at Aleja Jana Pawła II in Bydgoszcz. – The driver of the Chevrolet Aveo vehicle drove against the tide and continued driving towards the Toruń roundabout. He almost led to a road collision. Fortunately, in this case the tragedy did not take place – told the sub -commissioner Remigiusz Rakowski from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz.

Strict consequences for the driver
– Thanks to this recording, policemen will be able to determine the perpetrator of the offense and impose a penalty fine on him. A fine of up to three thousand zlotys and six penalty points for driving against the current. If the case goes to court, the driver will face a fine of up to thirty thousand zlotys – the policeman said.
He added that “driving against the tide is one of the most serious traffic offenses that exposes the life and health of drivers and other traffic participants.” – Compliance with traffic rules, mindfulness and responsibility for the wheel are key elements in avoiding such dangerous situations.
