The lane was ending, but that didn't stop the Mercedes driver from driving on. He overtook the last car while driving on a “traffic-free surface” and on a pedestrian crossing. Another driver recorded it and sent it to the police. The perpetrator may face a fine of up to PLN 30,000.

The police released a recording showing dangerous overtaking on al. Home Army in Bydgoszcz. The incident took place on October 19.

– The driver of a Mercedes passenger car performed a dangerous maneuver and overtook another vehicle directly in front of a pedestrian crossing using the “area closed to traffic”. The incident was recorded by the car camera of another road participant, who sent the material to the “STOP ROAD AGGRESSION” box – said the subcommand. Remigiusz Rakowski from WRD KWP Bydgoszcz.

He added that for overtaking directly before a pedestrian crossing, the driver will face a fine of PLN 1,500. PLN fine and 15 penalty points.

– Failure to comply with the sign P-21 “area closed to traffic” may result in a fine of PLN 100 and 1 penalty point. If the case goes to court, the driver will face a fine of up to PLN 30,000, the officer said.
