A California surfer was left in vital situation Sunday morning after an obvious shark assault off the Bay Space coast.
The surfer, who’s in his 30s, was not recognized. The assault occurred close to Bodega Bay and sufferer suffered a chunk to his thigh. He was with a bunch of surfers and his buddy witnessed the assault.
“I noticed the dorsal fin of the shark after which I noticed the tail fin of the shark,” Jared Davis, the good friend, told KTVU. “They had been happening into the water. It undoubtedly wasn’t like a fast assault. It was good and gradual. Sort of like a dolphin peaking up.”
The opposite surfers helped the sufferer get to shore and tried to cease the bleeding. The sufferer was airlifted to a hospital at about 9 a.m. and is anticipated to outlive.
SFGate reported that shark assaults off California are uncommon. There have been fewer than 200 incidents since 1950, the report stated, citing the California Division of Fish and Wildlife.
