Teachers say they are thrown into the deep end – more and more students in schools are diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder or ADHD. Parents of such children accuse teachers of lack of competence and demand systemic changes, e.g. including ADHD on the list of disorders that entitle them to a declaration of special educational needs. – Inclusive education requires systemic and mental changes, because schools are full of violence. But in each school it is possible to introduce changes in attitude and in building good communication – says Tomasz Śliwowski, a teacher co-organizing the education process.
