Canadian police are investigating the theft of valuables worth approximately $15 million at Toronto Airport. The cargo, which disappeared from the warehouse on Monday, was reported by authorities on Thursday.
A cargo container with gold and other items worth more than C$20 million ($14.8 million) has been stolen from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, authorities said Thursday, cited by the AP.
Inspector Stephen Duivesteyn said a “high value” container was stolen Monday evening from a facility on the airport grounds after being unloaded from an aircraft.

“Following normal procedure, the aircraft was unloaded and the cargo was transferred from the aircraft to the holding area cargo facility,” said Duivesteyn. “On arrival, this high-value cargo was illegally removed from the warehouse,” he added.
Police have not released any information about the suspects, but no arrests have been made so far.
