Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appealed to Taylor Swift to include Canada in “The Eras Tour”

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made an attempt to convince Taylor Swift to add Canada to his concert map. The pop star recently completed it with another fourteen concerts, but in Europe.

Singer Taylor Swift announced yesterday that she has added 14 more shows to her “The Eras Tour”. The new dates covered European stops, including Paris, Stockholm, Liverpool, Amsterdam, Milan and Warsaw.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reacted to her announcement.

“It’s me, hi,” he began, referring to “Anti-Hero”, one of the artist’s songs released in 2022. “I know places in Canadawho would be happy to receive you. Don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon,” he added, also referring to Swift’s work, this time to “Cruel Summer”, a song released in 2019 and present in the setlist of the singer’s current tour.

“The Eras Tour”, which began in March this year in American Arizona, includes more than a hundred concerts stretching to the summer of 2024. The tour starts in the United States and will go through MexicoEurope, Asia and Australiano stop in Canada.

This is not the first such political intervention related to the singer. In June, Conservative Party of Canada politician Matt Jeneroux posted an “official complaint” on social media about the addition of a Canadian city to Swift’s list of concerts.
