Celebration of the 77th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising

Kaznowska also mentioned a “fragile little woman” who fought in the uprising – Mrs. Halina Dudzik-Jędrzejewska pseud. – Filtrowa 68 is one of the most important addresses on the insurgent map of Warsaw. It is here that the plaque behind me reminds the new, young generation of Warsaw. It is here, at this address, that Colonel “Monter” gave the order to rise. This event is still considered one of the most important in the newest Poland. Here, too, the decision was made at “W” hour. We have the privilege that we live at a time when you – insurgents – are with us – said the vice-president of Warsaw, Renata Kaznowska, who was present at the ceremony.

Celebrations have begun in front of the plaque commemorating the signing of the order to start the Warsaw Uprising.
