Celine Dion is making her debut with new music after announcing in December that she suffers from a rare neurological condition that affects her singing. On social media, she published the single “Love Again” on Thursday, and on May 12, she announced the premiere of the album, which is to consist of five songs.

On Thursday, the singer’s Instagram account posted the news that her new single “Love Again” is now available. The song is to be the leitmotiv of music in the film of the same name, in which Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan are to star.

“Mark your calendars, May 5th the movie will hit theaters and May 12th will be a full album featuring five new Celine songs,” reads the post on social media.

Celine Dion revealed in December that she was diagnosed with generalized stiffness syndrome. The Canadian singer talked about the disease a few months ago in a recording published on social media.

– As you know, I’m like an open book. I wasn’t ready to say it until now, but now I am. (…) I have been dealing with health problems for a long time and it was really difficult for me to face these challenges and talk about everything that I was going through – Dion said in a broken voice in a video she shared on her Instagram account. “It is painful to tell you that I will not be ready to return to tour Europe in February.

The 54-year-old singer explained that she suffers from generalized stiffness syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that affects “one in a million people”. “While we’re still learning about this rare disease, we now know that it’s causing all the cramps I’m having,” Dion said. As she explained, the disease makes it difficult for her to walk and sing “in the way I’m used to”. She added that the cramps affect every aspect of her daily life.

The Grammy award winner canceled the concerts planned for the summer of 2023, and postponed the rest to next year.
