The Centralny Port Komunikacyjny company submitted a letter to the Masovian Voivode to extend the deadline for completing the application for a location decision for the airport by 30 days – the CPK press office informed.

Centralny Port Komunikacyjny is a State Treasury company established under the Act of 2018 to prepare and implement investments under the same name. In October last year, the company submitted an application to the Masovian Voivode for a location decision for the airport.

In November, the company assumed that it would be possible to obtain a location decision in the first quarter of 2024. Obtaining it was supposed to allow submitting an application for an airport construction permit. However, this did not happen.

Government Plenipotentiary for CPK Maciej Lasek on February 10 this year. informed that the Masovian Voivode asked to complete the application for a location decision for the planned investment. As he said then, CPK had 60 days to do so.

CPK audits

At the beginning of April this year. CPK announced that it had submitted to the Office of the Plenipotentiary for CPK reports on internal audits of the airport, railway, marketing, financial, Voluntary Acquisition Program, Social and Economic Program and HR areas. Their analysis is ongoing in the Office of the Plenipotentiary for CPK.

Due to the lack of offers, the company did not resolve the tender for the financial audit. It was decided that the audit would be continued by the company, the Office of the Plenipotentiary for CPK and external consultants.

The company extended the deadlines for submitting offers in other ongoing tenders: for a railway audit until April 24, for a marketing audit until April 25, for other projects until April 29 and for an airport audit until April 30.

The Central Communication Port is a planned transfer hub between Warsaw and Łódź, which is to integrate air, rail and road transport. Ownership supervision over the company is exercised by the government plenipotentiary for the Central Communication Port.
