The demographic crisis is deepening

“In the last 12 months, 275.4 thousand children were born. 412 thousand people died. The demographic scissors are expanding. The crisis is deepening. We are falling,” Mundry wrote on social media.

According to Central Statistical Office data the population of Poland at the end of November 2023 was 37 million 653 thousand. people.

Central Statistical Office in the demographic forecast indicated that the population of Poland in 2060 will drop to 30.4 million people in the main scenario. However, in alternative scenarios, it is up to 26.7 million in the low and up to 34.8 million in the high scenario, respectively.
