President Andrzej Duda He was a guest of Radio ZET on Thursday and was asked, among other things, about changes in public media.

The president said that due to “what we observed yesterday in connection with public television”, he took “action that should be taken by the president.” – On the basis of the constitution and the applicable law, I expressed my opinion in writing to the Prime Minister Donald Tuskas well as in a conversation with Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the Marshal Szymon Hołownia – Duda said.

He explained that it was a conversation before the meeting of the National Security Council and lasted 45 minutes. It was held among three people: the president, the prime minister and the speaker of the Sejm.

Duda: Sienkiewicz violated the constitution

– I would love to see decency in public life and the rule of law in Poland. What happened yesterday, unfortunately, completely contradicts this, because yesterday the constitution was blatantly violated by Minister Sienkiewicz – said the president. – It cannot be that the Sejm issues resolutions and these resolutions, in the opinion of the constitutional minister, replace laws or change laws – he added.
