The history of dance will be one of the subjects that may be pursued in general secondary schools and technical schools in the extended scope – the regulation on the framework teaching plans in public schools, published in the Journal of Laws, provides.
The Ministry of Education and Science announced that the minister had signed an ordinance amending the ordinance on framework curricula for public schools. It was published on Friday in the Journal of Laws.
“The regulation on the core curriculum for general education for general secondary schools, technical secondary schools and second-cycle vocational schools established the core curriculum for the subject of the history of dance as one of the subjects that may be taught in general secondary schools and technical schools in the extended scope. teaching classes in this subject from the school year 2023/2024 “- the Ministry of Education announced in a release on the website. A change in this respect, both in the core curriculum and in the framework curricula for public schools (specifying the number of hours) was introduced at the request of the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport. The regulation comes into force on 1 September 2023.
What about the 2021/2021 school year? Minister’s decision
On Friday, the Ministry of Education announced in a statement that Minister Przemysław Czarnek had signed two regulations that define the manner of implementing the tasks of the education system units in the school year 2021/2022 in the situation of the epidemic that continues in Poland.
The first is the regulation “on the temporary limitation of the functioning of the education system units in connection with the prevention, prevention and combating of COVID-19”. The second – “on special solutions in the period of temporary limitation of the functioning of education system units in connection with the prevention, counteraction and combating COVID-19”.
From September 1, 2021, all students will study at school on a pre-pandemic basis, the ministry announced in a release released on Friday.
Changes in the rules of conducting examinations
The Ministry of Education and Science informed that in 2022, as in 2021, eighth grade exam and matura exam will be conducted on the basis of the examination requirements specified in the annexes to the ordinance issued on the basis of art. 30c of the Act of December 14, 2016 – Education Law (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1082). “The documents contain a narrow catalog of requirements specified in the core curriculum of general education, which were the basis for conducting examinations in previous years” – it was written.
The ministry also provided information on what the eighth-grade exam will look like in 2022.
It will be carried out in May, which is a month later than usual. “This solution will enable primary school students to prepare better for this exam,” we read. “In addition, in 2022, the eighth-grade exam in the fourth compulsory subject, selected from among the subjects: biology, chemistry, physics, geography or history, will not be conducted” – added the ministry’s press release issued on Friday.
