I am fully convinced that PiS MPs have shivers down their spines. After what they saw in the case of Jacek Sutryk, they know that justice will not pass them by – said the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense, Cezary Tomczyk, in “Fakty po Faktach”, referring to the allegations against the president of WrocÅ‚aw regarding irregularities in the Collegium Humanum. – They already know that there will be no impunity – he added.
The National Prosecutor's Office has brought charges against another five people in the investigation into irregularities in the activities of the Collegium Humanum university, including the mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk and former PiS MEP Karol Karski.
Sutryk, as reported by the head of the Silesian department of the National Prosecutor's Office, Tomasz Tadla, was charged with providing a financial benefit to the former rector of Collegium Humanum for obtaining a diploma from this university, as well as using this illegally obtained document and extorting PLN 230,000.
Tomczyk: they already know that there will be no impunity
KO politician, deputy minister of national defense, was asked about the allegations against the president of WrocÅ‚aw, who was supported by, among others, the Civic Coalition in the last local elections. Cezary Tomczyk. – I am proud of our country. We fought for such a state, that is, for a state of law that treats everyone equally. If Jacek Sutryk, or anyone else, turns out to be guilty and this is decided by the court, he should of course resign from his position after the court's verdict – said the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense.
When asked what should happen to Sutryk's presidency until the court's verdict, Tomczyk said that the president “should consider his presence in WrocÅ‚aw.” – Perhaps his deputy should take over the duties, but this is Jacek Sutryk's decision – he added.
– I have full confidence that PiS MPs today they have shivers down their spines. After what they saw when it comes to Jacek Sutryk, they know that justice will absolutely not pass them by. If I were a PiS MP today and doing something bad, I would be scared to death, he said.
– Regardless of whether someone is from this party or another, today anyone who did something wrong should have chills down their spines. If it seemed to PiS MPs that they would avoid responsibility, after what is happening in the case of Jacek Sutryk and what is happening in the case of Karol Karski from PiS, they already know that there will be no impunity – he emphasized.
Former PiS MEP Karol Karski was charged with “corruption charges related to invoking influence in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to obtain positive opinions on the running of branches of the former Collegium Humanum university in Prague, Bratislava and Andijan, and in the case of the branch in Slovakia, positive consideration of the case regarding the issuance of opinions in the field of pedagogy.
