Chelsea Handler Takes Goal at Ex Jo Koy’s Golden Globes Monologue

Nobody is protected from Chelsea Handler, particularly her ex.

Throughout her opening monologue on the 2024 Critics Choice Awards Jan. 14, the comic put ex-boyfriend Jo Koy within the scorching seat, making enjoyable of his broadly panned stint internet hosting the 2024 Golden Globes.

She started by joking that she most popular her males “{old} and scorching,” shouting out “smoke present” attendees Harrison Ford—who’s getting the Profession Achievement Award—and Robert De Niro, in addition to fellow nominee Martin Scorsese—noting that she would “toss him round like slightly Italian meatball.”

Chelsea then stated, “Thanks for laughing at that, my writers wrote it.”

The punchline drew huge applause from the crowd, which included many celebs who attended the Golden Globes. After a number of of his jokes fell flat throughout his monologue, Koy appeared to throw his writers beneath the bus, saying, “Some I wrote, another folks wrote.”

He added, “Yo, I bought the gig 10 days in the past. You need an ideal monologue? You, shut up. You are kidding me, proper? Decelerate. I wrote a few of these and so they’re those you are laughing at.”
