The social campaign “React to violence against children” prepared by the Empowering Children Foundation is underway. On this occasion, among others: The Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw was illuminated in red. The slogan “Childhood without violence” appeared on it. “This action is our joint step to build awareness of the problem of child abuse,” the organizers wrote.
The Empowering Children Foundation runs a campaign whose main element is: miniseries “Not Indifferent”.
Łukasz Wojtasik from the Empowering Children Foundation said on Sunday in “You get up and the weekend” on TVN24 that “on the one hand, there are stereotypes that it won’t change anything, that we shouldn’t interfere in family matters, that we will only cause problems for ourselves “.
– We conduct research that shows that despite the high scale of violence against children, a quarter of people who feel discomfort and would like to do something do nothing. Mainly because they don’t know how to react, he said.
“We loudly call for counteracting violence”

“This slogan accompanies us every day in our actions to protect children, and today, on the International Day for the Prevention of Violence against Children, it is displayed at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw,” we read in a post by the Empowering Children Foundation published on social media.
“Buildings highlighted in red can also be found in Starogard Gdański, Lublin, Olsztyn, Zakopane, Rabka, Nowy Targ, Sosnowiec, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poznań, Rzeszów and Grudziądz” – it was added.
The Empowering Children Foundation explains that the “Childhood Without Violence” campaign is a manifesto of 16 Polish organizations associated in the National Coalition for the Protection of Children.
“This manifesto is our clear position – we do not agree to violence against children, and all its forms are unacceptable. We all carry out the mission of protecting children’s rights and loudly call for counteracting violence. This action is our joint step to build awareness of the problem of child abuse , shaping attitudes, sensitizing society and engaging in protective activities,” it was written.
