China calls Taiwan presidential frontrunner ‘destroyer of peace’

TAIPEI, Taiwan — China has slammed Taiwan presidential front-runner William Lai as a “destroyer of peace” following a televised debate on Saturday wherein he defended Taiwan’s proper to rule itself as a democracy.
