Heavy snowfall has occurred in several parts of China. The national meteorological agency issued the first second degree alerts this season ahead of the blizzards. The temperature dropped sharply and frost seized up.
The difficult situation is in Beijing, as well as in its suburbs. Snow began to fall there on Saturday, and there were dozens of plows and sanders on the roads. This is the first snowfall in the Chinese capital this season, 23 days earlier than usual. Meteorologists warn that up to 30 centimeters of snow can fall in some areas on Sunday.

Warnings against blizzards and frost
Second degree warnings against blizzards and strong winds have been issued for some northern, eastern and central regions of the country. These are the first such alerts this season.
With the onset of snow, the temperature has dropped by 10 degrees Celsius in some places. In the city of Lanzhou in the northwest of Gansu province, the thermometers showed -10 degrees C.
Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, co-host of the Winter Olympics on February 4, 2022, is pleased with the coming winter. This will make it easier to prepare the arenas for the season. On Sunday, 10-15 centimeters of snow are expected there and temperatures down to -18 degrees Celsius.
