“Although the oil in question is certified for incidental contact with food, on August 13 2024, on our own initiative, we decided to immediately withdraw selected batches of products from the market. The withdrawal process is ongoing,” we read in the company's announcement from 23 August.

“Laboratory tests on products manufactured before the defect was discovered showed elevated levels of mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH) and mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons (MOSH),” the warning reads. These are substances that are potentially harmful to health and should not be found in food.
