Chmielnik. Cannabis plantation – police intervention and warning shots

Officers received a notification that there was a cannabis plantation on one of the premises in Chmielnik (Świętokrzyskie Province). They found 10 bushes of the plant there. According to the police, one of the officers was hit during the intervention. A warning shot was fired as well.

The policemen visited the property of a 37-year-old inhabitant of Chmielnik on Monday. They discovered 10 cannabis bushes there.

– When the officers were performing their duties, a 21-year-old came to the property in a car. When an officer approached the BMW driver, the young man suddenly started to run over the intervening policeman, informed the subcommittee. Police: hit an officer and later tried to drive away

Then, according to the police, the 21-year-old tried to drive away. – Then one of the policemen, seeing the threat, fired a warning shot and the man’s escape ended. After a while the driver with handcuffs was sitting in a police car. The knocked down policeman was taken to the hospital – reports Macek.

The 21-year-old will be tried in court for hitting a policeman and for possession of significant amounts of drugs. Officers seized over 30 grams of dried herb initially identified as marijuana. A man may face up to 10 years in prison.

Plants secured on the 37-year-old’s property went to laboratory tests. It will depend on the expertise which man will hear the accusations.

After detailed research, it turned out that the officer hit by the 21-year-old did not suffer serious injuries.
