For the 49-year-old, the trip to London ended at Chopin Airport, before the start of the plane. Standing in a queue for security control, he told the airport employee that he had a laptop with an explosive with him.
It was not necessary to wait long for the reaction of the controller.
– Pyrotechnic officers from the Warsaw-Okęcie Border Guard facility were immediately called. Travel luggage was x -rayed and it was subject to detailed manual control in terms of having hazardous materials. The result was negative – reports in Dagmara Bielec, a press officer of the Vistula Border Guard branch. – The man, apologizing for his prank, explained that he was aware of what he was allowed and what is not allowed to be transported in hand luggage, but he did not realize that his joke would have such serious consequences – he adds.
The 49-year-old was fined in the amount of PLN 500 and could not board the plane. The flight had to translate into a different date.
