This incident took place last Saturday around 8:30 p.m. on Katowicka Street in Chorzów.
“Traffic police officers dispatched to the scene determined that a 42-year-old man from Świętochłowice had decided to run across a busy street in an unauthorized place. Dusk, poor visibility and, as it later turned out, alcohol, turned out to be a recipe for misfortune. The man ran directly into the path of an oncoming car,” he said. Chorzów police in a statement.
Drunk and wanted
A sobriety test showed that he was drunk, with more than three per mille of alcohol in his body. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured and after completing the formalities he could return home, but he will not. It turned out that he was wanted to serve a 10-day prison sentence. When he is released from custody, he will be charged with causing a collision.
