Expert on “three key elements”

As he explained, “in each such case, three elements are taken into account: the pilot, the aircraft and the weather.” – As for the pilot. I am absolutely calm that he had all the qualifications, the right experience. As for the plane, I am absolutely sure that its technical condition, i.e. airworthiness, was 100% – he assessed. In his opinion, “the biggest suspect in causing this disaster is the weather.”

– We have very strong thermals, passing storm squalls, rains – he noted.

He emphasized that “landing the plane, and it turns out that this plane was about to land, is the most difficult element in the technique of piloting the plane.” He added that the landing site in Chrcynno, where the accident occurred, is located in a very open area.

– Therefore, air movements, thermal movements are very strong. This airport is also near a water reservoir, where these thermal air movements are sometimes unpredictable, the expert said. He added that “there may have been a so-called wind shear, i.e. a very strong gust that the pilot may not have expected.” This, he said, could have caused the “plane to go down”.
