Christmas is getting closer. On this occasion, the Biedronka, Lidl, Kaufland and Aldi chains have prepared Christmas extras for their employees. These include shopping vouchers and packages.
Due to the upcoming Christmas holidays, Lidl Polska has prepared packages for the youngest, i.e. all employees’ children up to 13 years of age. “We have diversified Christmas packages taking into account the age of children. In this way, 4 types of packages have been created, taking into account the different needs and preferences of children. The packages will include, among others, wooden toys, sets for motor development, games and puzzles, walkie talkies and backpacks. “Older children can also expect sweets,” Aleksandra Robaszkiewicz from Lidl Polska explained in a response sent to the tvn24.pl business editorial team.
In addition, the chain also invites its employees to take part in the promotional campaign of the Lidl Plus application, under which they will receive discount coupons worth a total of PLN 1,000 for purchases in Lidl stores. “The promotion is addressed to employees and associates of our network, as well as people employed by some contractors,” Robaszkiewicz said.
Christmas allowances for retail chain employees
In turn, Biedronka announced that almost 70 thousand company employees received discounts of PLN 1,000 in the form of vouchers to be used in stores of this chain. Vouchers were given to employees in non-managerial positions in stores, distribution centers and offices. As reported, vouchers were also received by agency store crews and selected colleagues, including: security agency employees. Vouchers can be used until the end of January 2024.
Earlier – as Biedronka reported – employees received Christmas packages for themselves and their children. In their packages, the employees found a set of pots, a kitchen textile set and sweets – we could read in the announcement. In turn, the company has prepared four types of packages for children depending on age. The packages for children include, among others: books, sets of blocks, board and card games. “This year, over 81,000 employees and 80,000 of their children received parcels,” the network said.
In addition to the packages, as part of the Christmas package, employees received financial support in the form of employee e-codes, which they can use to pay for purchases at Biedronka or Hebe. The top-up amounts for individual e-codes vary depending on the income threshold and range from PLN 490 to PLN 610.
The Aldi chain – similarly to Biedronka – has already provided all employees (sales, warehouse and office) with Christmas shopping vouchers worth PLN 300. In addition, the network has planned to pay an attendance allowance. “(…) for employees of stores and distribution centers, the Aldi chain has planned an attendance allowance worth PLN 700, which will be paid in the new year,” it was announced. No details were provided regarding the rules for payment of this allowance.
The Kaufland chain announced that this year its employees will receive a Christmas voucher. “Depending on the income per family member, the amounts of this year’s Christmas vouchers range from PLN 730 to PLN 750,” it was explained. The chain announced that in addition to vouchers, each person employed in the Kaufland chain will also receive a package containing popular food products.
