In Chrzanów (Lesser Poland Voivodeship), a drunk citizen of Georgia drove his car into a group of people standing in front of a local club. Three of them were slightly injured. The driver was also taken to hospital. Police findings show that the incident was “social in nature” and involved an argument over a woman.
The incident took place on Saturday evening (October 21). The police received the report around 11 p.m. Anna Zbroja from the press team of the Małopolska Police reported that when the officers arrived at the scene, it turned out that a 26-year-old citizen Georgia he got into his car and drove into a group of people in front of the club.
After that, the man started to run away, but was quickly caught by the intervening policemen, who also detained three other Georgians involved in the incident. Three people were injured – two women and a man, who were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The detained car driver was also taken to hospital. It turned out that he was drunk – he had about two per mille of alcohol in his blood.
Police: the incident was more of a social nature
– According to the findings at this point, the incident was rather social in nature – it was a conflict over a woman. We are determining the course of the incident, witnesses and possible other injured parties, Zbroja informed.
The police have initially ruled out any disputes related to supporters or ethnicity. According to the police, no dangerous tools were found at the scene, but they could have been used, as evidenced by the injuries of one of the injured.
According to RMF FM, before the man drove into people standing in front of the club, there was a fight involving several people.
