After checking the police databases, it turned out that it was not the first time that the man got behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol. The 34-year-old has three lifelong court bans from driving any motor vehicles. Moreover, he was wanted by the Ciechanów prosecutor’s office to determine his whereabouts.

He will answer for his actions in court. – From October 1, stricter penalties apply to drivers who drive on “double gas”. People who commit this crime may face up to three years in prison, a driving ban and a high fine. However, driving a vehicle despite a court ban is punishable by up to five years in prison – notes Magda Zarembska, an officer from the Ciechanów police.
