A 19-year-old BMW driver who brought his friend to the Ciechanów police station parked in a parking space for disabled people and lost his driving license.

Last Monday, police officers in the parking lot in front of the District Police Headquarters in Ciechanów noticed a BMW parked in a parking lot for disabled people. The vehicle did not have a parking card authorizing it to park in this location.

The passenger regained his driving license, the driver lost it

– During a conversation with the 19-year-old BMW driver, the police officers' suspicions were confirmed. A resident of Ciechanów County did not have a parking permit in a parking space designated for disabled people. He explained that he had brought his friend to the police station who wanted to make sure whether he had regained his driving license that he had lost some time ago. The passenger got his driving license back. Unfortunately, the 19-year-old lost his license – said aspirant Magda Zarembska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Ciechanów.

The policewoman added that after checking the Audi driver in police databases, it turned out that the 19-year-old had exceeded the limit of 24 penalty points for violating traffic regulations. Additionally, for the offense committed, he was fined PLN 1,200 and given six points.

He will have to take the exams again

– Now the 19-year-old will have to refresh his road traffic regulations and pass the theoretical and practical exam again to regain his driving license – concluded Zarembska.
