Police officers from the Piaseczno traffic police department stopped a man who was driving under the influence of alcohol. The 46-year-old had three per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air. It also turned out that he had lost his driving license a week earlier for driving under the influence.
It all started on the road from Cieciszewo to Dębówka in Piaseczno County. Another driver noticed a white Citroen, whose driver was unable to keep the vehicle on the right track, and called the emergency number 112. The Citroen driver realized that he might be in trouble soon, so he decided to pull into a field. However, it did him no good.
“He was found by Piaseczno traffic police officers about 400 meters from the main road, and a breathalyzer test showed that the driver had almost three per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air,” the Piaseczno police said in a statement.
“He went fishing”
According to the police, the 46-year-old tried to explain to them that he “went fishing and rode in the meadow, because he was allowed to do so.” The man was taken to a cell, and his car to the police parking lot.
“It also came to light that this was not the 46-year-old's first trip in such a state. The man had lost his driving license just a week earlier for driving under the influence. As you can see, this did not stop him from getting behind the wheel again while drunk,” the police explained in a statement.
The officers congratulate the exemplary witness of the incident. They appeal to always react when there is a suspicion that we are dealing with a drunk driver.'
