A fatal hit at a pedestrian crossing occurred in Cielcza (Greater Poland Voivodeship). First, the 17-year-old was hit by one car, and then by another car coming from the opposite direction. The driver of the second car is being identified. The police, under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office, are investigating the circumstances of the incident.

The tragic accident occurred on Wednesday morning on a municipal road at a pedestrian crossing at ul. Poznańska in Cielcza near Jarocin.

The first information received by the police indicated that a 17-year-old resident of Jarocin, crossing the road in a marked pedestrian area, was hit by a car and died on the spot.

– When we arrived, it turned out that the body was 1.5 km away on the second lane of the road in the opposite direction of the first car – said the press officer of the Jarocin police, staff midshipman Agnieszka Zaworska.

According to preliminary findings under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office, it turned out that after the 17-year-old was hit by the first car, he was hit by a second car driving from the opposite side. Therefore, the victim’s body was found in a different place.

– We are identifying the driver of the second car because only the first driver was at the scene – said the press officer.
