Rescuers from the Cieszyn ambulance went to a person in need of help, at that time someone entered the social rooms of the facility and took the wallet of one of them and the car keys.
The theft occurred last Wednesday. – The 60-year-old injured paramedic was summoned to a rescue operation. He left his things in the Cieszyn Ambulance and went to help. When he returned from the action, he realized that he had been stolen documents, cash and a wallet – said Krzysztof Pawlik, press officer of the Cieszyn police. He added that the perpetrator used the rescuer payment card three times, spending about 700 zlotys.
As the police points out, the theft was “very bold” – especially towards a person who saves our health and life on a daily basis – emphasizes Pawlik.
“It's sad”
Janusz Martynek, technical manager of the Cieszyn ambulance adds that not only the portfolio with cash and documents has been stolen.
– During the activities of medics who were in the field, the perpetrator broke here and made a bold theft. A wallet and car keys fell prey to the loot – said an ambulance representative.
When asked about how it happened, that the perpetrator entered the institution imperceptibly that renovation works are currently taking place in the ambulance. – He used the moment of inattention of external companies and when the door was open, he broke into the social rooms – explains Martynek.
As an ambulance representative emphasizes, this is the first such situation in his almost 40-year career. – It is sad that (rescuers – ed.) They have been treated so – he concludes.
