On Thursday afternoon, the leaders of the groups that make up the ruling coalition met at the Prime Minister's villa in Warsaw. According to earlier announcements, the talks were to concern, among other things, the differences that have emerged in the coalition.

The meeting at the Prime Minister's villa on Parkowa Street was attended by the leaders of the Civic Coalition, the Left, PSL and Poland 2050 – Donald Tusk, Vladimir the Black, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz and Szymon Holownia. It ended before 9 p.m. No communiqué was issued after the talks, and no conference was held.

According to the announcements, the meeting was to be devoted to discussing the differences in the positions of the coalition partners before the upcoming session of the Sejm and – scheduled for next Tuesday – the government's adoption of the draft budget for 2025. One of the topics is to be the reduction of health insurance contributions and housing loans.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced last week that the coalition partners will have a “very serious conversation to sum up the first year after the elections.” He said he was aware that the first year of government “will be a grind, consisting mainly of cleaning up,” but now, he said, all the coalition partners “believe that we should announce this new agenda, already forward-looking.”
