IMWM issued first degree warnings against frost. Another night ahead of us, when the temperature will drop below zero degrees in some places. Check where light frost will settle.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued meteorological warnings.

IMWM warnings – frosts

First degree warnings against frost apply in the following voivodeships:

  • Pomeranian (in southern counties);
  • Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (in western counties);
  • Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship (in northern counties);
  • Masovian Voivodeship (in southern counties);
  • Greater Poland (in Złotów County);
  • Lublin Province;
  • Podkarpackie;
  • Świętokrzyskie;
  • Lesser Poland (except counties located on the western edge);
  • Silesian (in Żywiec County);
  • Lower Silesia (in the counties of Kłodzko, Wałbrzych, Kamienna Góra, Karkonosze, Jelenia Góra, Lwówek, Lubań).

The air temperature is forecast to drop to about 3 degrees Celsius, and at ground level to -2 degrees C. The alarms will come into force at 11 p.m. on Monday and will expire at 6 on Tuesday.

What is the IMWM first degree meteorological warning?

The first level warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by road traffic, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and developments in the weather situation.
