Frosts don't let up. Warnings from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management are valid in 15 voivodeships. The temperature at the ground may drop to -4 degrees Celsius.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued meteorological warnings.

IMWM warnings – frosts

First degree warnings against frost apply in the following voivodeships:

  • West Pomeranian Voivodeshipin the eastern part of the voivodeship;
  • Pomeranian;
  • Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship;
  • Podlasie;
  • Masovian Voivodeship;
  • Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship;
  • Greater Polandin the eastern part of the voivodeship;
  • Lower Silesiain the following counties: Kłodzko, Wałbrzych, Kamienna Góra, Karkonosze, Jelenia Góra.
  • Opole province;
  • Silesian;
  • Lesser Poland;
  • Świętokrzyskie;
  • Łódź;
  • Lublin Province;
  • Podkarpackie.

According to forecasters, the air temperature is forecast to drop by 1 to 1 degree Celsius, and at the ground by -3 to -4 degrees Celsius.

The warnings will expire at 6.30am on Monday.

What is the IMWM first degree meteorological warning?

The first level warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by road traffic, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and developments in the weather situation.
