An accident involving three passenger cars occurred on the national road No. 53 in the town of Wach in the Ostrołęka poviat. Six people were admitted to the hospital.
The reporter of tvnwarszawa.pl Artur Węgrzynowicz informed about the incident. – On the national road number 53 in Wach: Volvo, Citroen and BMW. There are at least two people jammed in one of the vehicles. Firemen provide assistance to people from other vehicles. A helicopter from Warsaw was ordered to the scene of the accident, Węgrzynowicz said.
As our reporter found out, there are at least five people injured in the accident, including two in a serious condition.
Tomasz Żerański, the press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Ostrołęka, provided us with preliminary findings regarding this accident. – The driver of the Volvo on the bend of the road lost control of the vehicle, as a result of which he turned into the opposite lane and collided with a Citroen and BMW. After the collision, the Citroen pulled over to the side of the road – informed the policeman. Ultimately, six people were taken to the hospital, he added. The wounded were transported by ambulances.
The national road number 53 is blocked in both directions. Detours have been designated.
