The Colorado shoplifting suspect who police say deployed bear spray Sunday when confronted by workers at a Greeley Walmart has been arrested.

Vince Joe Pacheco, 29, is about to face third-degree assault on an at-risk elder, aggravated theft and different costs, KDVR.com reported.

Greeley police described a chaotic scene on the Walmart. Pacheco was confronted by retailer associates after allegedly shoplifting and deployed the bear spray, hitting three of them, police mentioned. They tried to subdue the suspect and, at one level, Pacheco hit a 70-year-old worker with the bear spray can, police mentioned.

Police responded to the scene on experiences of a attainable man with a gun on the retailer, and later decided that there was no gun. The report mentioned workers had been handled on the scene.

Police informed the Denver Channel that Pacheco fled the scene to a close-by retailer to try to wash his face, and he ultimately surrendered. The incident occurred at about 1:35 p.m. and he ultimately surrendered at about 9 p.m.
