Eight years ago, Prime Minister Kaczyński destroyed Mastalerek’s career, and after eight years it is Mastalerek who says that Kaczyński should leave – this is what New Left MP Krzysztof Gawkowski says about the conflict between the new presidential minister and the PiS president. He views Mastalerek’s words that Kaczyński should retire as “revenge postponed.”
Social advisor to the president Andrzej Dudaand soon the presidential minister, Marcin Mastalerek, in a Thursday interview on Radio ZET, stated without hesitation that the president of PiS Jaroslaw Kaczynski he should retire politically. When asked whether PiS “successfully failed this campaign,” he replied in the affirmative.
Opposition politicians about Mastalarka’s words. “The Bulldog War”
Opposition politicians believe that this is proof that PiS is boiling with quarrels. – Marcin Mastalerek has his time today. This is revenge postponed. Eight years ago, Prime Minister Kaczyński destroyed Mastalerek’s career, and after eight years Mastalerek says that Kaczyński should leave – comments Krzysztof Gawkowski, MP of the New Left, in an interview with TVN24. – We have a bulldog war under the carpet of this shell of Law and Justice. Kaczyński has a problem, his time is running out. And the fact that Mastalerek is chasing him is a demonstration of how low the party president has fallen, said the politician.
When asked whether Mastalerek’s words indicated the president’s party ambitions, Gawkowski replied that “Mastalerek certainly (…) had the green light from Andrzej Duda to say this.” – It is clear that the president would like to achieve independence. That he would like to play some role in today’s opposition after his presidency (PiS – ed.), and maybe in the future a party that will still have some aspirations. But this will not happen because Duda is too weak and his players are too strong – said MP Gawkowski.

Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski, PSL MP, thinks that Mastalerek’s words are “astonishing”. – This is an interesting move on the part of the president. I don’t know how he will manage relations with President Kaczyński with such a minister and head of the chancellery – said Bartoszewski. He referred to unofficial reports that Marcin Mastalerek would take over as head of President Duda’s office.

Mastalarek on Kaczyński: he behaves in an authoritarian manner like Tusk
In an interview on Radio ZET, Mastalerek was also asked whether he was the leader of PSL Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz he would be a better prime minister than the PO leader Donald Tusk. – Yes, Kosiniak-Kamysz would be a better prime minister – said Mastalerek. – Donald Tusk has been conducting all matters so far, since the dawn of PO, in an authoritarian way. This is the greatest fraud of Polish politics. A man who disguises himself as a democrat has been running PO’s affairs from its very beginning in an authoritarian way, removing all his enemies and former friends, he emphasized.
When asked whether Jarosław Kaczyński does not behave in a similar way, Mastalerek admitted that the PiS president “also behaves in such a way.” – He built his own private party, which is his property and he can do whatever he wants. But Jarosław Kaczyński does not shout everywhere that he is the greatest democrat in the world. He is a greater democrat than Tusk, because there is more democracy in PiS than in PO, he said.
When asked what was the biggest obstacle for PiS in the campaign, he replied that “it was undoubtedly the visa scandal.” – When in small towns, because PiS unfortunately also lost there, when they were handing out leaflets in the market squares, people came up and asked: how much visa do you need? This entered deep into the consciousness – emphasized Mastalerek.
Mariusz Witczak, an MP from the Civic Coalition, believes that politicians in the PiS community are “striking their heads.” – They will probably stay in the same club for some time because it is in their interest. But in fact (…) they will bid more and more intensely for these heads. This is characteristic of a power that has the features of authoritarian, dictatorial power, that as long as the instruments of power are abused, money obtained from the capture of the state, it will somehow continue. But when it breaks down, everyone actually grabs their heads, argues, and I expect “crown witnesses” who will come forward en masse and tell how these shredders were turned on – said MP Witczak.
This is not the first time that a politician has made an issue with the head of the party that has been in power in Poland for eight years. Back in June, Mastalerek wrote on Twitter (today: platform X – ed.): “pride comes before a fall.” In this way, he responded to PiS MEP Tomasz Poręba, who ridiculed Mastalerek, a former PiS staffer, for criticizing the ruling party’s campaign. “This is exactly how the Civic Platform behaved in 2015,” Mastalarek commented on Twitter.
Left MP Tomasz Trela replied to him: “Taking a shortcut, President Andrzej Duda is taking advantage of President Jarosław Kaczyński. He is afraid himself, but he sent an advisor.”
