– A commission examining Russia's influence on public life in Poland is needed, but it should not concern one or another government, but the last 30 years – said Marcin Ociepa from the PiS club, former deputy minister of national defense, in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24. Piotr Zgorzelski, deputy speaker of the Sejm on behalf of PSL-Trzecia Droga, stated that the planned commission “is needed primarily for Polish security.” He added that it is to be a government commission consisting of experts “without political influence.”

Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Tuesday that he hopes to get things underway next week commission for the study of Russian and Belarusian influence. – There will be no parliamentary committee. I will appoint a government commission that will be given a two-month deadline. And within two months he will prepare a report which will show who was subject to such influence, where, why and for how much. Who carried out orders from Russia and Belarus. And above all, who made the decision to cover up these matters – he announced. The Prime Minister emphasized that there would be no politicians on the commission. – A commission investigating Russian influence on public life in Poland, in many areas of public life, is needed, but it should not concern one or another government, but the entire last at least thirty-odd years, in order to approach it precisely and honestly, he said. Warmth.

– We all understand perfectly well that Donald Tusk needs this commission to polarize, to divert attention from the mistakes of government, just like the three investigative commissions – he said.

– This entire commission is part of the volte-face of Donald Tusk and the entire coalition on December 13, which is an attempt to cover up the fact that this was Donald Tusk's second strategic, substantive mistake in his political career. The first, in foreign policy, when he focused on Russia, and the second – when it comes to securing our border. Today, this turn, withdrawal and accusations of pro-Russianism against Law and Justice, which has done the most to strengthen our security, our army, our border, is only proof of Donald Tusk's helplessness – he added.

Zgorzelski: it will be a commission beyond political influence

Zgorzelski, in response to Ociepa's words, said that “this is not a commission that is needed by Mr. Donald Tusk or anyone from the ruling sphere, this commission is, above all, needed by Polish security.” He added that it is to be a government commission consisting of experts, “outside of political influence.”

– Today we must ask questions very sharply and seriously. Why, in the face of the threat from the East, are the branches of the Internal Security Agency being liquidated in Podkarpacie and Masuria, i.e. in very sensitive places – continued the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, referring to Tusk's announcement that a decision was made to restore the previously liquidated 10 ABW branches in the country.

– In your times (in your times – editor) the services had their eyes closed to the East because you chose an ideological enemy in the West – he turned to Ociepa and added that “a sense of restoring security and guaranteeing security on the eastern border is needed.”
