The court did not accept the complaint of the Independence March association regarding the September search of its headquarters. He also postponed the justification for seven days, said the spokesman for the Warsaw-Praga District Prosecutor's Office, prosecutor Norbert Antoni WoliĆski. The decision is final.

The president of the Independence March Association, Bartosz Malewski, said on Thursday that the court agreed almost entirely with the prosecutor's position. – He agreed that the police who carried out the activities did not provide us with a decision to search the premises before starting the activities – he said. He added that, however, the court considered the lack of notification to be of little significance in the context of the case.

Other complaints were also dismissed
Earlier, a complaint against the search was filed by the PrzemysĆ II Name Association, which owns the searched premises, as well as other entities declaring the use of these premises: the Victory March Association, the All-Polish Youth Association and the National Social Institute Foundation.
– The court did not accept any of the complaints and did not accept any of the allegations raised by the applicants. He considered the search to be justified, legal and correct – said prosecutor WoliĆski.

Attempting to obtain evidence is necessary
He noted that, according to the court's assessment, finding the evidence sought at the association's headquarters was highly probable, and attempting to obtain it was necessary. He said that the court confirmed the need to drill the door locks, noting that postponing the search until the keys were delivered, that is, by two days – as the applicants expected – would pose a risk of removing or concealing key evidence. He emphasized that during the activities, new locks were installed at the police's expense and the keys were handed over to the premises' users.
This is about an investigation into the 2028 march
At the beginning of September last year, the police conducted a search at the headquarters of the Independence March Association in connection with an investigation into crimes that allegedly occurred during the march in 2018. The police also conducted a search at the house of the former chairman of the Independence March Association, Robert BÄ kiewicz.

The prosecutor's office is overseeing an investigation into a number of crimes observed during the march. Investigators analyzed recordings in which one of the people belonging to the Independence March guard expressed a criminal threat towards another person. They also deal with the content of slogans displayed on banners carried during the march and chanted by the participants.
